Inquisitive Kids, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization, is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.

IKI provides community and academic connectivity through its free monthly publication, educational programs and constant outreach.

A summary of our primary programs and services:
Inquisitive Kids Monthly Publication –

o Currently, IKI circulates a free monthly publication entitled Inquisitive Kids (IK) to 45,000+ third, fourth, and fifth-grade students in 235 area schools.

o Content focuses on 6 Core Developmental Areas: cultural, financial, leadership, scientific, personal health and academic literacy.

o All of the IK content is aligned with the Indiana Academic Standards and is written by professional teachers, educators, and curriculum directors

Inquisitive Kids Teacher’s Guide –
o A monthly teacher’s guide is produced and distributed to 2,300 teachers. The Guide’s extended activities correlate to the Indiana Academic Standards, highlights concepts detailed in the publication and provides in-class worksheets for teachers to use. The guide also connects teachers to community-based organizations whose missions help improve the lives and education of their students and families.

Community Outreach and Connectivity –
o A full-time School Outreach Coordinator who communicates with teachers and principals on key areas of mutual interest.

o Community organizations have utilized IK to reach students and increase the depth and awareness of their own programs. This opportunity has helped create excitement about particular causes with students, thus giving them a sense of community ownership and responsibility.
